Silvana is the founder of iCare Connections and registered as an NDIS Provider back in 2018 and for all of the right reasons. Silvana's passion for justice and quality of life is her driving force.
Silvana is an experienced, accredited counsellor, welfare and community mental health practitioner with almost two decades of experience. Silvana has worked with some of the most vulnerable people in our community in the areas of mental health, homelessness, complex case management, at risk youth, residential services, domestic violence, disability, forensic and justice.
Silvana works flexibly, creatively and holistically with people presenting with challenging behaviours and those experiencing trauma. Most clients would say her strengths are 'empathy, getting things done and she will move mountains for you to secure what you really need.'
Silvana is constantly coming up with ideas on how to improve the quality of service for NDIS Participants. She ensures the iCare Connections Team is also cared for and take pride in what they do.
In her limited spare time, Silvana enjoys travel, new adventures, animals and at times, she loves listening to very loud music.
Agnes is an experienced, accredited social worker who brings over a decade of experience into her role with iCare Connections.
Agnes has worked primarily in mental health community organisations both in Melbourne and Queensland, specialising in trauma-informed complex case management, direct support and support facilitation for people from diverse backgrounds, who experience issues related to housing, finances, health and wellbeing.
Agnes works flexibly, creatively and holistically with people presenting with challenging behaviours and those with backgrounds of trauma; with a focus on improving mental health using a range of interventions, including utilising nature, exercise and creative outlets as a means of therapy.
In her spare time, Agnes enjoys yoga, reading, hiking, creating collage art and listening to all kinds of music. She is also studying a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment so that she may teach others Community Service and Mental Health support work in future.
Grainne moved to Australia from Ireland in 2017. Grainne has accreditation in Social Studies and is an experienced coordinator in aged care, disability and mental health. Grainne has a passion for helping people achieve their goals in life.
Grainne has previously worked as a direct support in both disability and mental health. She has a wealth of knowledge working with the NDIS, and as a Support Coordinator for many years. Grainne has an excellent ability to connect participants with community services, provide advocacy, and simplifying NDIS processes.
Grainne takes a strength based and client centered approach by focusing on improving participants quality of life by understanding what drives them.
In her spare time, Grainne enjoys hiking, reading, painting and spending time with loved ones. She also enjoys travelling, her cats and listening to music.
Miranda has extensive experience working with children, youth and adults who have multiple and complex disabilities. Miranda has worked for 15years with children and youth who have experienced significant childhood trauma. These children often present with a wide range of behavioural difficulties, diagnoses and disabilities such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, anxiety, intellectual disabilities and attachment disorders. Miranda takes a holistic approach when working with adults, children and young people, engaging the immediate family and broader support network to affect sustained change.
Miranda’s interest in the NDIS support coordination field started with the need to advocate for her own child who has a disability. Miranda supports kinship carers throughout Victoria and NSW to develop a strong understanding of the NDIS and supports available to them to gain better outcomes for their children.
Miranda is known for her ability to build trusting relationships with participants and their families and is committed to connecting participants with suitable supports that value diversity, a person’s unique strengths and interests.
Away from work, Miranda enjoys adventures with her daughter, cooking nourishing meals, getting off the beaten track hiking and tending to her slowly expanding veggie garden.
Claudia is an experienced administration officer who has over 20 years in customer relations. She brings support and knowledge to iCare Connections business operations.
Claudia has primarily worked in various roles in the health and fitness industry and is passionate about helping achieve wellbeing in the community. The roles have allowed Claudia to enhance customer experiences maintaining motivational and a supportive culture.
As a mother of two, when she has spare time, Claudia enjoys bike riding, hiking along a mountain top with amazing views, exploring our beautiful country and having a good laugh watching a comedy show.
